One of the participants in our Book Art Creative Workshops decided to try one of the suggested techniques of creating an ‘altered book’, where a whole book is reconfigured to create a completely new work of art. She took the subject of the book as a starting point, and cut away pages in layers, highlighting words in a ‘found poem’, and adding materials to illustrate the ‘story’ of the altered book. Isn’t it beautiful?
