CHATTERBOX STORIES will be at the INVERKEITHING FESTIVE MAKERS MARKET on Saturday 12th December 1PM-4PM. Children of all ages are invited to drop in, absolutely FREE (thanks to Fife Council), and experience the magic of the season with ‘Winter Tales’ by joining in and listening to stories, sangs and rhymes. You’ll find them in the Cafe of Inverkeithing Civic Centre, where there will also be children’s crafting activities related to the stories.
Local storyteller Kate Walker of Chatterbox Stories and Burgh Blethers will be joined by storytelling apprentice Rowan Morrison for the afternoon of ‘stories, sangs and rhymes’. We’ll be hearing about Santa and Rudolf, Jack Frost and The Happy Prince, The Three Bears and Auld Ted, and many many more. It’s sure to be a fun and magical afternoon!
Storytelling is a wonderful way for a community to come together, and we invite all of the children of Inverkeithing and surrounding towns, as well as all our young visitors to the Makers Market from far and wide, to come along, listen, and join in with Kate and Rowan.
We are collaborating with Spittalfield Residents and Tenants Association to make sure the word gets out about it, and The Scottish Book Trust are generously giving us lots of lovely children’s books to give away to wee visitors! Parents and carers can also find out about children joining the library and all of the events and activities which go on in public libraries across Fife and Scotland.
Really looking forward to sharing our winter and Christmas stories in Inverkeithing on Saturday . Look out for silly Frogs and rapping Bears, Jack Frost and a lost Santa and hear the tale of a little lame donkey who one, cold and foggy ,Christmas Eve walked all the way to …INVERKEITHING!
See you there on Saturday afternoon with Stories for everyone. Kate and Rowan xx
