Bookbinding with Jo

Wednesday 31st January,  6.30-9pm.

Jo Barrett will be running another session of her popular, and lovely, Japanese Bookbinding workshop.

Learn how to create your own journal/sketchbook using simple materials.
Utilising a traditional Japanese technique called ‘stab binding’ you will design and assemble the book to your own specifications. Once mastered, this is a skill you can use at home to produce bespoke journals, sketch books and photo albums.
Cost is £25 per person including all materials required to produce a unique handmade journal. Refreshments also included.

Drawing with Rosie

A new season of Drawing for Fun starts on Thursday 11th January 2018, 7.00 – 8.30pm at Maker, 2a High Street, Inverkeithing. It will run for 5 weeks and is led by IAI associate artist Rosie Gibson. Students will practice drawing based on enjoyable techniques from the book ‘Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain’. Price for a block booking is £30. Please book the first session in advance.

Maker is looking fantastic just now, filled to the brim with gorgeous and exciting works of art, craft and design, all by Fife-based makers. And with the winter cold and darkness, there’s nothing like the warm glow of a shop filled with beautiful objects of desire! Maker gallery and gifts, 2a High Street, Inverkeithing. Opening hours Tuesday 10am-5.30pm, Thursday-Saturday 10am-5.30pm.

Colour-in Inverkeithing

The one and only colouring-in poster of Inverkeithing by Catherine Lindow! For sale now at Maker, 2a High Street Inverkeithing, home of Catherine’s ‘Lindow in the Window’ happening in the summer of 2017 when she created an Inverkeithing as Art-work, with her beautiful line drawings and painting, incorporating stories about the town from locals. Visit Maker to see the posters, the Inverkeithing artwork print, and a whole range of Catherine’s gorgeous work.
