Elaine Bews – fun with bags of style

“I love designing and making bags. My aim is to make every bag individual and unique. I love selecting colourful and fun fabrics to create bags for work, fun, special occasions and for every day use too.”

Elaine Bews‘ hand-made bags are created using carefully chosen fabrics, some of which are sourced from fabric scraps and recycled clothing. All of these lovely designs would add a splash of colour and style to any outfit, and some are even reversible, making them even more flexible to wear! She also makes gorgeous accessories such as dog leads and key fobs to match and you’ll be able to ‘bagsie’ yourself a selection at our ART:JAM Art & Craft Market on Saturday 12th September 11am-4.30pm.

Featuring…

Now we have the full list of artists and crafters showing and selling their work at our Arts and Crafts market on Saturday 13th December as part of our ‘Handmade Holiday’.

We’re going to feature one or two at a time on our blog, with an outline of their work and some beautiful images for you to enjoy. And so, first up is…..

“Once upon a time there was a girl named Ann who loved to doodle.

She doodled all the time, for as long as life would allow and she still does. Not so long ago Ann decided to share her doodles, and that was when the magic started.”

“I exclusively design fabric bags and accessories and hand-make each one with care. Each bag is boned, lined and comes with a handmade label inside. I have a range of shoppers, brooches and tweed keyrings. I also produce  brooch sewing kits all ready to sew at home.” Elizabeth Scott
