Inverkeithing as art is here…
Catherine Lindow’s beautiful artwork of Inverkeithing can now be seen, looking brilliant in its pride of place, at Maker, 2a High Street, Inverkeithing! You can buy prints of it in the shop, size A3 or A2, or other sizes can be ordered by arrangement. And you can even buy a card of part of the design to send to family and friends. The finished artwork is full of wonderful details and quotes you might recognise if you came into to talk to her during her week long stint as ‘Lindow in the Window’ at Maker.
The story so far….
Catherine Lindow will be in Maker’s window for one more day – Saturday 17th June, working on the final preparatory drawings (see below) for her picture of Inverkeithing. She’ll then continue working in her own studio over the next few weeks on the finished piece. We’re so excited to see it, its’ going to be beautiful!
Tomorrow is the last day that you can pre-order prints of the finished picture for special pre-order prices. An A3 print can be ordered for £28, (rather than the usual price of £40 for a print that size), and the A2 size print can be ordered for £54 (rather than the usual £70). If you can’t make it in to make a pre-order, never fear! Maker will be stocking prints of Catherine’s amazing drawing of Inverkeithing once its finished.
Glimpses – Lindow in the Window
Some wee glimpses of the preparatory drawings Catherine has been doing this week in the window at Maker. She’s drawing buildings, landmarks and stories from locals. She’ll be taking all these elements and creating a larger drawing of Inverkeithing. Come in and say hello and give her your stories about the town!

Inverkeithing as Art
Starting this week! Catherine Lindow will be sitting in the window of Maker, 2a High Street, Inverkeithing, creating an art work of – Inverkeithing! Catherine’s joyful and detailed homages to place can be seen in her illustration of the new Dunfermline Carnegie Library and the Abbey (see below). From Tuesday 13th to Saturday 17th June she will be working on a finished piece, based on many sketches she has made of the town, and the finished work will be available to buy as a beautiful print from Maker. Come in for a visit and to tell Catherine your stories about Inverkeithing!
Lindow in the Window – 13th – 17th June 2017
We’re very excited about an event coming up at Maker, our lovely arts hub in Inverkeithing – llustrator Catherine Lindow will be setting up her easel in the window for five days in June, and she’ll be creating fantastically detailed drawings – of Inverkeithing! Come in for a a nosey and a chat with her while she works – your story might just end up in her finished artwork!

We’re delighted that painter and illustrator Catherine Lindow will be running workshops and projects over the summer at Maker, starting with a lovely children’s workshop making beanbag pets using recycled socks! The class is suitable for children ages 7-11 and costs £8 per child. Materials are included in the cost of the workshop.
