Elaine Bews – fun with bags of style

“I love designing and making bags. My aim is to make every bag individual and unique. I love selecting colourful and fun fabrics to create bags for work, fun, special occasions and for every day use too.”

Elaine Bews‘ hand-made bags are created using carefully chosen fabrics, some of which are sourced from fabric scraps and recycled clothing. All of these lovely designs would add a splash of colour and style to any outfit, and some are even reversible, making them even more flexible to wear! She also makes gorgeous accessories such as dog leads and key fobs to match and you’ll be able to ‘bagsie’ yourself a selection at our ART:JAM Art & Craft Market on Saturday 12th September 11am-4.30pm.

A group of mums got together to enjoy learning to sew, and before long moved on to using sewing machines. The group is a fun way to learn skills, find hidden talents and help each other. The group has started making items for sale, using both new and recycled materials, including cushions with pads, pyjama bags, pincushions and dolly’s clothes. Gorgeous!
