Creative Taster Sessions

Inverkeithing Arts invited three local artists and makers to provide creative activities for visitors to enjoy during a Family Fun Day on Friday 7th April at Inverkeithing Primary School.

Rustic Simplicity were helping visitors to make wooden bird boxes, Rosie Gibson ran  sessions making drawing and models based on participants’ memories, and Catherine Reilly was showing people how to decorate photo frames and jars. Participants did lots of lovely work and enjoyed taking part in the activities, and were fair chuffed with their hand made objects of art and craft to take home, as you can see from the images below.

Inverkeithing Arts are currently having public conversations about possible future participatory arts projects for residents affected by the regeneration of Fraser Avenue and surrounding area. If you live in the area, and have an idea for community projects or public art, get in touch at info@inverkeithingarts.orgor call us on 01383 271839.

The Fun Day was organised by Fife Council’s Adult Learning Local Planning Group, and the creative sessions were supported by Kingdom Housing Association.
