Glass Lantern Making with Jo Barrett

Saturday 20th May, 10.301m – 12.30pm

In this workshop you will learn how to transform old glass items into unique candleholders. Working with glass, glue and paper you will produce a beautiful candle holder of your own design to take home and enjoy! No previous craft experience required.  The workshop will run on Saturday morning on 20th May, 10.30am – 12.30pm.

JAMMY PIECE OF ART RAFFLE

Just as with our previous two Art & Craft Markets, a major feature of the day on 12th September at the ART:JAM will the fantabulous Art Raffle. The chance to win a handmade piece of art or craft for a mere £1 for a strip of 5 tickets. Jammy!

All of the participating artists will be contributing a piece of their work to the raffle:

Serenity – repurposing glass vessels

Serenity creates unique candle lamps using repurposed glass vessels. These small, medium and large-scale lamps give a pleasing glow and serene ambience to any setting. Serenity also creates handcrafted silver, pearl and gemstone jewellery.

Visitors to the ART:JAM on 12th September at Inverkeithing Civic Centre are invited to join taster sessions in the process involved to make mini versions of these lovely lamps.

Serenity will be running classes at the Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline on Thursday 3rd September 10am-noon, and at their Dunfermline studio on Saturday 5th September 10am-noon:

And, for the first time, We will be exhibiting and selling our own work at the ART:JAM. Our individual artistic practice feeds into and informs what we do as Inverkeithing Arts Initiative. We are: Michelle Denholm, Jane Francis and Mary Farrell.

Serenity – exploring creativity

Next in our line-up of artists and crafters for Spring Into Summer on May 2nd….. Serenity makes a variety of unique items, handmade books, candle holders, jewellery, handmade clocks, lamps and plaster plaques. IAI are delighted to welcome Serenity at our Art & Craft Fair on Saturday May 2nd, 11am-5pm.
