A local crafter, Filo di Lana crochets the most lovely accessories with a vintage feel such as slippers and berets, as well as delightful home wares, and now cute rag dollies as well! Using lovely coloured yarns for all items, and thoughtfully finishing items with lovely touches such as pretty buttons and fabric linings. Clothing and accessories can be ordered to the correct size.

The Barbary Wood – Inspired by Vintage

vial 1-1024x882Dunfermline-based maker The Barbary Wood has a number of inspirations which include such diverse subjects as vintage, nature and steampunk! Vicki creates costume jewellery, mixed media artwork, paper collage and wearables, using old and pre-loved beads, found objects, geological treasures, old photographs and vintage patterns.

Boxoftrix – Treasure from Ephemera

Tangerine Dream Inchies framed copyYou’ll find textile jewellery, embroidered framed art, and accessories made from upcycled wool blankets, vintage crochet and denim jeans from local crafters Boxoftrix at the Inverkeithing Festive Makers Market on Saturday 12th December, 11am-4.30pm. Boxoftrix will also introduce a new collection of art made from ephemera such as maps, stamps and sheet music. A truly fascinating treasure trove of gifts and collectables!

The Barbary Wood – for the love of vintage

Inspired by a love of vintage style, The Barbary Wood creates costume jewellery, using reworked beads, faux pearls, faux amber, crystal, Art Deco style beads and U.S. brass stampings. The vintage feel also extends to mixed media artwork, greeting cards and collage, all handmade with paper and found objects which are machine and hand stitched.

You can indulge your passion for this nostalgic and romantic look at The Barbary Wood’s stall at our ART:JAM on Saturday 12th September in Inverkeithing Civic Centre, 11am-4.30pm

Filo di Lana – cosy and colourful

Filo di Lana hand-crochets items such scarves, hats, slippers, children’s and babies wear, as well as bags and purses, all in the most delicious colours. A delight to look at and wear – with their distinctly vintage feel.

Filo di Lana will be joining us at the ART:JAM on Saturday 12th September 11am-4.30pm, so visitors can stock up on those lovely items for wearing on long Autumn walks and cosy evenings…
